Way less than PC users with way worse setups. Those with a PS5 spent $400-500 for their entire system. So 21% of PC users have a better GPU than the PS5 2 years after it came out. I don’t feel like bothering to calculate for AMD but given the overall ratio of sales let’s say AMD GPUs add another 5% Those make up about 3% of currently used PC hardware. In the 2XXX gen only 4 GPUs were better than the 2070. Those GPUs are only ~12% of the steam survey. In the 3XXX generation only the 3060ti (non-laptop) and above are actually better than the 2070. The RTX 4XXX generation only has 0.69% market share. A 2070 is only 2 generations old.įurthermore most PC gamers are using hardware worse that a 2070. The 30Ti both use the same GA104 die (again just cut down in different ways). The 2070S literally uses the same TU104 die as the 2080 (just with more cores layered off).
Nvidia doesn’t claim they are and no reviewers treat them that way. The 2070S and 3070Ti are not different hardware generations than the 20.
